Therapy for when life feels overwhelming... old wounds resurfacing, too many changes at once. Let's slow down and make room for it all.

Clinical Social Worker in Indianapolis, IN

About My Clients

I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals (and allies and those exploring), men (13+), and clients seeking support around sexuality and sexual health. Clients typically work with me when they are facing changes and complexities, history or trauma starts resurfacing, and it all starts to feel overwhelming and confusing. Clients might notice they feel reactive, edgy, harsh, hurried, and not present or like themself. We work to get back to feeling grounded and able to navigate uncertainty.

My Background and Approach

I'm licensed as a clinical social worker (LCSW) in Indiana and Colorado, clinical addiction counselor (LCAC) in Indiana, and am a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) through AASECT. I've been practicing therapy since 2022, and before that works in higher education and nonprofits. Those different focus areas and experiences shape how I view therapy as a space where identity, purpose, relationships, and healing all intersect. My training and approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. I draw from complementary approaches based on what you might want and need from therapy and strive be both intentional and flexible. I relational and collaborative, which is ideal for those who value partnership in their therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m a gay and queer person born and raised in the Midwest, and I approach therapy with an explicitly LGBTQIA+ affirming lens as well as an understanding of how stressors compound for queer folks and minoritized communities. I also believe in examining privilege and power within LGBTQIA+ spaces... white queer folks have work to do around racism, cisgender queer folks around transphobia, and so on. I’m sex-positive, sex-worker positive, kink-affirming, and opposed to pathologizing sexuality (and all experiences which can impact mental health). The majority of therapy approaches I'm trained in and use are process-based, which are explicitly non-pathologizing and not symptom driven or focused (because you're a whole human, not a syndrome). I welcome clients exploring diverse spiritual paths including Pagan traditions, earth-based practices, Buddhism, and occult spirituality.
