About My Clients
I am happy to serve clients seeking trauma-informed therapy. I do have experience as a medical social worker and working with those with complex and co-morbid medical and mental health diagnoses. I have worked with Veterans, women, children, teens, and adults of all ages. I am a good fit if you are seeking education or guidance in overcoming the complications of life. I aim to educate, empower and support you in pursuit of your goals and commitment to new behaviors.
My Background and Approach
Building new skills can seem overwhelming. However, you can learn and implement new strategies and skills with surprising ease. Mindfulness, grounding, and externalization are a few skills you will learn in therapy. With my trauma-informed and problem-solving background, you will learn to increase awareness and insight on how to de-stress, overcome anxiety, and live a more fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through the trauma model, I believe our past experiences shape our present, and also the future lens that we look through. By addressing past traumas, building skills to concur challenges in day-to-day life, I believe you have the ability to improve your future outcomes. I believe physical activity and taking forward motion is healing. Finding a way to increase physical movement, improve your physical health, and nurture your spirit are important factors in finding ultimate healing.
