My Background and Approach
In addition to being a licensed counselor, I also hold the certification of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This additional certification allows me the unique perspective of practicing from a science-based behavioral lens and blending two professional fields to provide support to clients and their family. I have 8 years of experience working in various settings including school, hospital, and clinic. These experiences allow me to have a well-rounded perspective when working with my clients, I practices from an eclectic perspective including client-centered, solution focused, behavioral, and evidence-based. I prioritize the use of collaboration, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships with both the child and family to generalize skills outside of the therapeutic environment. Further, I work diligently with schools, physicians and other members of the child’s community to provide consistency of support.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that rapport and the therapeutic relationship is critical in order to be successful with providing support to a client and family. I thrive on incorporating creative, unique, and idiosyncratic interventions to make the therapeutic process meaningful for the individual client and/or family. Through compassion, empathy, and understanding, I will be able to help your child and family be the best version of themselves and thrive!
