About My Clients
My typical clients are navigating an ADHD diagnosis and are motivated to learn skills to cope and proactively manage it.
My Background and Approach
I have ten years of experience in the medical setting counseling individuals and families with cancer and chronic illness. As I transitioned to private practice, I began meeting more and more clients coping with ADHD and its challenges with executive functioning, relationships, anxiety, and depression. I recently earned my ADHD-CCSP credential specializing in ADHD therapy. Executive functioning skills include the ability to focus attention, manage impulses and emotions, organize, and plan. These skills are most commonly challenged by ADHD. Executive functioning is also impaired with high stress such as when you are navigating something new in your life: a medical diagnosis, a new baby, or divorce. My role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to define your diagnosis for yourself, process your feelings, build executive functioning skills, and reclaim a sense of balance and empowerment in your life.
