About My Clients
I work with women and girls ages 13 and up. Some are managing OCD or anxiety that has shaped their decisions for years; others are adjusting to a late ADHD diagnosis, or wondering whether ADHD explains a pattern they have lived with for a long time; many are navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or early parenting. Most have tried to handle things on their own first, and most want practical skills and a clear direction alongside room to talk. My work is structured around both.
My Background and Approach
I work with women and girls, ages 13 and up, who look like they have it together and are quietly exhausted by what it takes to keep it that way. My specialties are OCD, anxiety, ADHD in women and girls, and perinatal mental health. I earned my MA in Counseling from The Family Institute at Northwestern University and am the founder of The Cottage Therapy & Wellness. Expect a therapist who is warm, direct, and more interested in what actually helps and can be practically applied in daily living. I utilize ERP, Inference Based CBT, ACT, DBT, and other modalities that I feel may work for each individual.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work with clients of all backgrounds, identities, and family structures, and I support the ongoing work of making mental health care more equitable, both in who can access it and in who gets accurately diagnosed and treated. Outside of my practice, I volunteer with organizations that support mothers who cannot afford mental health care.
