About My Clients

When you are navigating the heavy workloads of college it can be a struggle to find time for yourself. I specialize in providing online therapy tailored for the undergraduate and graduate student, to support you in balancing the many unique and specific demands of being in college. My clients are often balancing school, relationships and processing earlier life events. I strive to provide a safe, supportive and non judgmental space for them to be seen and heard.

My Background and Approach

I received my graduate degree in Social Work in 2013, and I have worked in Non-Profit agencies, Emergency Room / Hospitals, and Private Practice. Over the past five years I have specialized in mental health and wellness tailored for college students. I find this to be an exciting and transformative time in one's life, when opportunities to heal wounds present themselves and questions about next steps loom. By creating a genuine, warm, trusting and collaborative space my clients feel empowered to explore, process and heal. I utilize a trauma informed, cognitive behavioral framework while incorporating mindfulness and if appropriate, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). EMDR can be an effective approach in addressing trauma and many of our long held beliefs that keep an individual feeling ‘stuck’. I encourage transparency in our relationship and respect all my clients for being the expert in their own life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everybody should have access to quality and affordable mental health care. I aim to provide mental health resources accessible to college students by offering online sessions, flexibility with appointments and a space that is just for you. I love learning and I hope to always be growing and evolving as a whole human. Part of my role as your therapist is seeking professional and personal growth opportunities including continuing education, consultation with a diverse network of supervisors, colleagues and my own therapist. I believe it is critical to approach therapy through a cultural lens addressing generational and systemic oppressions. My practice is a non-judgmental, antiracist, inclusive space where all individuals are welcome and safe. I feel it is critical in your healing process to find a therapist that is right for YOU. I encourage my clients to ask questions, give feedback and above all, my goal is for you to find what you need.
