About My Clients
I work with individuals, kids/teens struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and grief/loss. I've supported monogamous couples through infidelity, communication issues, building trust and healthy boundaries. I also affirm & work with non-monogamous and polyamorous couples. I incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and emotionally focused approaches that take an integral approach towards healing that connects the mind, body, and spirit, & honors the uniqueness of who you are.
My Background and Approach
I have my MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies - an Eastern lens on Western psychology with trainings in Gestalt Awareness Practice, the Gestalt Cape Cod Couples model. I've developed an approach of mindfulness and present moment awareness, focusing less on analysis and more on curiosity of experience. My focus is to support you towards healing & reconnecting with a life you want. I am not a quiet and reserved therapist - I work relationally & value bringing each of our unique humanness into the therapy relationship. I care about exploring your emotions, facilitating their expression and making sense of them, while valuing a focus on the development of your awareness of the experience. I find worth in making space for all parts of you, so that they can exist in space and be accepted as part of the whole. From here we can explore how you can make informed choices that bring the change & fulfillment you desire.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a cis-gendered, white man, I value working with other men around deconstructing toxic masculinity, misogyny, and oppressive behavior and beliefs. While not identifying myself, I support and value the individuals of the LGBTQ+ community and their experience. I bring a social justice and cultural competence lens to therapy, valuing difference and uniqueness as it makes the world a beautiful place.
