About My Clients
I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or challenging life transitions that have them feeling stuck. I have firsthand experience with depression and difficult life circumstances, and I strive to meet clients where they are to begin working toward a healthy, value-based life. I work to help clients identify their strengths and to build on them to overcome the mental health challenges they are facing.
My Background and Approach
I believe that my greatest strength as a psychologist is my ability to connect with people on a personal level. I consider authenticity and genuineness as core values that I hold, and I strive to exercise them with clients. I meet clients where they are and work to build a trusting relationship with them. I have firsthand experience with depression and related life challenges. As a psychologist and mental health researcher, I have a strong understanding of mental health challenges and use this information to develop individualized treatment plans with clients. I am nonjudgmental and understand that life can bring us to difficult places. I am here to help you work through them. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to teach clients important problem-solving skills that they can use to reduce and manage their symptoms while preventing future relapse. CBT is a frontline treatment for depression and many other psychological disorders.
