About My Clients

I work with adults and young adults, and see older adolescents ages 16 and up. Clients may come to therapy feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. I support people navigating grief, trauma-related concerns, identity questions, neurodivergence, relationship stress, life transitions, and a desire for greater self-understanding. I offer a warm, collaborative, nonjudgmental space to make sense of what you’re experiencing.

My Background and Approach

I am a limited licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with graduate training in clinical social work and clinical psychology. I earned my MSW from the University of Michigan, focused on integrated health, mental health, and interpersonal practice, and hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. My approach is warm, collaborative, integrative, and insight-oriented. Depending on your needs and goals, I draw from psychodynamic, CBT-informed, DBT-informed, interpersonal, supportive, and mindfulness-based approaches. I have received EMDRIA-approved training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. In therapy, we may focus on coping skills, emotion regulation, relationships, recurring patterns, identity, self-criticism, trauma-related responses, and a deeper understanding of yourself and what you need. I aim to balance practical support with thoughtful exploration, so therapy can feel useful in the present and meaningful over time.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, human, and grounded in genuine curiosity. I try to bring warmth, thoughtfulness, and humor when it fits, along with deep respect for each person’s identities, values, culture, and lived experience. I aim to offer a welcoming, nonjudgmental space for people of many backgrounds, beliefs, identities, and ways of understanding the world. My work is LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and sex-positive, while centering each client’s own values, goals, relationships, faith traditions, and life experiences. My role is not to impose a particular worldview, but to meet you with curiosity, care, and respect. Outside of my work as a psychotherapist, I value creativity and the small rituals that can make life feel more manageable. I enjoy knitting, cross stitch, gardening, reading, travel, cozy video games, NYT Games, and spending time with my dog and cat.
