About My Clients

I enjoy working with people who want support as they engage in self-exploration and attempt to make sense of the complexity and intersections of their identities, including race and ethnicity, spirituality, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. I also believe that it is important for the clients I work with to approach therapy as more than a culmination of sessions, but as part of a lifestyle and commitment to take time and space to prioritize one’s health.

My Background and Approach

I believe in the healing power of connection, among people and nature, and have an appreciation for the systemic and environmental forces that contribute to our understanding of this world, ourselves, and our relationships. One of the most meaningful aspects of my role as a psychologist is having the opportunity to share information and skills in a way that allow people to learn how to best care for themselves, advocate for their needs, and to remember the innate functions we each possess that allow us to thrive. Additionally, I am passionate about multicultural issues, particularly those affecting Black communities, understanding holistic methods of healing, and maintaining awareness of the connections among mind-body and spirit as they relate to overall health.
