About My Clients
If you’re reading this, it probably means that you're ready for a change. How did you end up here? People have told you you’re smart, destined for success, “so much potential,” and yet you often find yourself feeling down, anxious, moody, overwhelmed, or stuck. You feel immobilized, unable to reach your goals or even to totally know what your goals are anymore. You think - why can’t I just get it together? It all feels so complicated, so opaque that you don’t even know where to start.
My Background and Approach
I help teens and adults find clarity, calm, and a renewed sense of who they truly are. Therapy with me means that you will have the opportunity to figure things out in a low-key, ultra-supportive, nonjudgmental environment designed to help you know yourself more while gaining the practical skills you need to feel better and live the life you want to live. My specialties in Portland include working with teens and adults with anxiety and/or depression, difficulty managing emotions, and with teens, young adults, and adults who are feeling stuck.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am experienced and love working with individuals who identify as trans or gender non-binary, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community. I also strongly identify with individuals struggling with mental health issues and trauma. I have lived through these things and know how to use my own history along with therapeutic skills to support you. I am married to a wonderful first responder and the mother of three young children.
