My Background and Approach
I received my Master of Arts degree from Kutztown University in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. I dedicated my time in graduate school to understanding how people connect with others and how those connections affect their lives. Many times, our problems involve more than just us and anxiety can grow from interactions with family, partners, bosses, and friends. I find that healthy relationships are central to people's happiness. By understanding our family relationships, romantic relationships, and peer relationships we can understand ourselves better and create appropriate boundaries with others. My role is to facilitate this exploration as a way to help you through your hard time. The more you understand about yourself, the better you will be able to navigate your life in a whole, healthy way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves a chance to heal from their bruises. Everyone is worth listening to, worth being believed, and worth the time and space it takes to heal - no matter their age, race, gender, education, career, etc. In many aspects of my life, people gravitate to me to tell their stories - happy stories, sad stories, family stories, and relationship stories. I'm honored when people share pieces of themselves with me and I make it a priority to value, respect, and truly hear their experience.
