About My Clients
Many of my clients are experiencing major life changes and are looking to ways to better understand who they are. The majority of my clients identify as BIPOC and have experienced some systemic and immediate trauma. Most of them are between the ages of 18-65 years old. I provide psychotherapy and life coaching services.
My Background and Approach
I have worked with people from many backgrounds and in a variety of settings which included: schools, hospitals, mental health group clinic and now at my own private practice. I believe in really getting to know my clients and their strengths. As a social worker, I empower my clients to utilize their natural strengths and supports in order to build confidence in their own identities, set healthy boundaries, and advocate for themselves. I also like to collaborate with clients on their care and progress. I often do check-ins, offer reflections, and give homework assignments that encourage them to further explore their values and interests.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment that explores how lived experiences shape who we are. I work with individuals who desire to explore their identities after being impacted by major life transitions. We live in a world full of labeling; I believe that before you can accept or reject a label from society, it's important to know yourself.
