About My Clients
I am particularly skilled at working with LGBTQIA+/queer folks, people impacted by neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD, OCD, etc.), trauma, and relationships in conflict. I believe you deserve a life filled with meaning and connection. As a queer and neurodiverse therapist, I want you to feel clearly seen and deeply understood in our therapeutic relationship so that you can show up with clarity and authenticity in your life and relationships. Let's figure out how to make it happen together.
My Background and Approach
My personal and professional perspective is informed by a commitment to social justice, community-mindedness, feminist theory, queer theory, and disability theory. Politically, I consider myself to be somewhere on the leftist/socialist/anarchist side of things. I value creativity, accountability and questioning established power structures. I tell the truth. I was raised Evangelical Christian, and have been deconstructing those beliefs for many years- I currently do not consider myself religiously affiliated with any group but am very comfortable discussing religion and spirituality. I have extensive experience working with teenagers and families as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and have completed additional training in trauma therapy, expressive art therapy, sex therapy, and strategies for working effectively with neurodivergent folks. My approach is collaborative and balances behavior-based strategies with depth-oriented exploration and insight.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Professionally, I see empowering my clients with accurate information, access to high quality medical care, and the removal of barriers as a top priority. I am sex positive, kink-informed, drug-neutral, and non-pathologizing in my thinking and clinical work. I endeavor to help my clients explore and refine their own, authentic voice. I do not use AI tools in any of my clinical work and attempt to limit their use wherever possible. I place a high value on my client’s privacy and safety.
