About My Clients

I work with adults who are deep thinkers, intense feelers, and highly creative. Many have been told they are too much or too sensitive and want a space where their depth is honored. I especially support people navigating anxiety, rethinking their relationship with alcohol, and moving through life transitions tied to aging. My clients are reflective, curious, and searching for meaning, even when they feel stuck or misunderstood.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed therapist with specialized training in Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. My work focuses on helping adults navigate anxiety, rethinking their relationship with alcohol, and moving through major life transitions, including those connected to aging. I have extensive experience supporting college students and young adults as well as clients across the adult lifespan. My approach is collaborative, curious, and grounded in respect. Narrative Therapy helps clients examine and reshape the stories that fuel self-doubt, anxiety, or feeling “too much.” Motivational Interviewing offers support for people who feel ambivalent about change, especially around alcohol, and allows them to move at their own pace without judgment. My goal is to create a therapy space where you feel understood and supported while also gaining practical tools and new perspectives that help you move toward the life you want.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a white male therapist, I hold a deep responsibility to offer care that is safe, affirming, and anti-oppressive. I am a staunch ally of the LGBTQ+ community and have spent significant time learning how systems of colonization, racism, and oppression affect mental health. I know that trust has to be earned, and I approach this work with humility and openness. I stay engaged with current events and ongoing education to ensure my work reflects both awareness and accountability. My goal is to create a space where people from marginalized communities feel safe, respected, and genuinely valued.
