About My Clients
Many of my clients are figuring out who they are, where they’re going, and how to exist in this wild world we live in. Some are learning to manage big emotions, navigate independence, and discover who they are beyond who people expect them to be. Some feel like they're stuck or behind in life while everyone else seems to have it all figured out.
My Background and Approach
Based on my experience working with clients, I'm most successful when taking an eclectic, person-centered, approach. I often use skills and ideas from ACT, DBT, and existentialism. However, I recognize no two people are the same and I welcome collaboration. Sometimes we focus on learning ways to regulate emotions, create healthy relationships, or explore your values to build a life you actually look forward to living. It might be learning to take care of yourself in a world built to burn you out, and some days, you might just need a space to process the messy moments in life. Areas I'm especially passionate about: - LGBTQ+ affirming therapy - High school and college student mental health - Gifted & Talented and high-achieving people - Oldest siblings and blended families - Interpersonal and romantic relationships - Life transitions and emerging adulthood - AI and mental health - Creatives and introspectives (theater kids, artists, readers, and Drag Race fans)
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe it’s okay to not be okay. Therapy is a place where you don’t have to perform or wear a mask. No matter how much you’re struggling or how “imperfect” you feel. My goal is to give you time and space to work through things without feeling rushed or criticized. I listen without judgement, challenge when needed, and help empower you when things feel messy and overwhelming. I show up as myself so you can too. Some of the folks I work with are those who may be most hesitant to start therapy: - Have always been the responsible one and feel like they grew up too soon - Are in a quarter-life crisis and not sure where to start - Are figuring out who they are beyond what they're good at, what's expected of them, or who they've had to be - Look fine on the outside but are exhausted, anxious, or just going through the motions - Are scared of seeming like they're "too much" or "a lot" - Are hurting in ways they haven't said out loud yet
