About My Clients

Are you exhausted by anxiety? Overwhelmed with change? Do you second guess yourself? Wonder what others think of you? Do you find it hard to stop the 'replay of the day' that keeps you up at night? I can relate. I have helped people, just like you, to understand these patterns and our brain's role in creating & fueling them. With compassion, directness & a healthy dose of humor, I will actively partner with you to increase your power, develop tools to find relief & create the life you want.

My Background and Approach

My own therapy and self-guided research and training allowed me to develop deeper meaning and understanding of how I see and write my own story. As a therapist for over 20 years, I combine cognitive and behavioral approaches, neurobiology, mindfulness, and holistic integrative health to offer a unique and transformative approach to therapy. I strive to give you the power to re-imagine and re-write your life on your terms. I'll help you understand your brain and the thinking patterns that impact your life. With an understanding of the neurobiology of anxiety and depression, we will crush the stigma of the struggle and focus on ways to move past what we have been conditioned to think. We will work together to discover the tools that work best for you to change these patterns, find relief, reach your goals and potential and thrive. I have extensive training in mindfulness and weave these skills and other holistic interventions into our work to come up with the best recipe for success.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

'We all have a story to tell, whether we whisper or we yell'. I am a firm believer in the ideas that we all struggle with something and that everyone has the capacity for change. My goal is to help people understand how the 'stories' they carry with them impact their life. Be it a story from the past, or the 'story' we tell ourselves every day, in every interaction, we can unpack these and 'rewrite' them, to achieve a different ending. Having processed my own childhood adversity, I have a unique understanding of how life impacts the way we see ourselves in the world, and experience of emotions. I have developed mindsets and tools to manage my own trauma responses, and anxiety. My personal experience has fueled my commitment to helping others develop the same mindsets and tools to ease their suffering. My East Coast roots, make me a 'self-proclaimed foodie', and also provide me with a deep acceptance of racial, cultural, sexual orientation and gender status. All are welcome & safe!
