About My Clients
Many of my clients have complex trauma histories and are coming to therapy to address years of complex, relational, or family trauma. Some are trying therapy for the first time and others have done therapy before but haven't directly confronted their trauma yet. In addition to treating trauma, I also have an expertise in treating anxiety and OCD. Most of my clients are coming to therapy looking for tangible tools and skills to help them manage their anxiety in a better way.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative and direct. I'll meet you exactly where you are — and I won't leave you there. Sessions are organized and goal-oriented. You'll walk away with something tangible, not just talked at. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor everything to what you actually need. I work from the deep conviction that behaviors and symptoms that look like problems are almost always adaptations — ways the mind and body learned to cope with something that was too much to process. That reframe changes everything. It means we can work with these parts of you rather than against them. I'm trained in and regularly use Trauma-Informed Care, EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, and approaches rooted in Polyvagal Theory and Attachment. I
