About My Clients
I help people who have experienced trauma, shame, depression, anxiety, grief, or lowered esteem. Maybe you want guidance digging into deeper emotions and healing forward. Maybe you've not had a safe space to be yourself. Maybe you long for self-care amid life transitions. My clients grow more attuned to themselves and to their stories, and they experience freedom from thinking patterns and wounded beliefs.
My Background and Approach
I work in compassion and non-judgment, fostering safety in the therapy session. I operate from a trauma-informed, inclusive lens, and I customize approach to each client's individual needs. I pull from ACT, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal, and Attachment theories. My therapeutic approach is warm & client-centered, and I am also direct about barriers to treatment and options for resolution and healing. We get to collaborate together, this is interactive work, and I will promote your strengths and autonomy. I love feedback-informed care; I find this to be crucial. If something is not working or adjustment is needed, let's talk about it! I want to offer the most effective care for you. It is your time, your money, your journey to optimal mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we carry with us wounds of our past, if not acknowledged, processed, nor healed from. Those wounds can form maladaptive core beliefs, and we likely are connecting with ourselves and others from those wounded places. I also believe we have the power to heal forward and live another way-- a way of personal freedom, increased self-worth, and lowered distress. We are works in progress, no matter our stage of life. We get to create the life we love. BLM. LGBTQ+ Ally. Freedom-focused. Love is home base.
