About My Clients
I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders as well as depression, anxiety, and trauma. I provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. I am trained in Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to be able to support the entire family system necessary for eating disorder recovery.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley University. I did my field training at a community crisis stabilization center and local public high school. I have experience treating eating disorders in children & adolescents at the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization levels of care. I approach therapy through a relational lens informed by attachment theory, though utilize other modalities like ACT and DBT. Centering personal values and a self-compassion practice, I work to help my clients reconnect to their own inner compass and move towards what they truly want. I rely on mindfulness to promote a nonjudgmental inquiry into the negative core beliefs that hold us back. All of that said, YOU are the expert on YOU, and I aim to be a witness to your process, providing nudges and maybe even some laughs along the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I wholeheartedly believe that full recovery is possible, which can bring a unique power to the individual, family system, and society-at-large. I grew up in the Philadelphia area as an avid creative and expressive kid. I’ve also had the opportunity to live in Rochester, NY and Boston, MA, and I am proud to call Colorado home! When I’m not working, I like to hike, work on my own art projects, and get lost in a great book or Netflix series with my 2 cats by my side.
