My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years experience working with youth, adults, and families. My practice is trauma informed and culturally responsive. I am a queer, cisgender Japanese-American woman with lived experience navigating diverse family relations in the areas of both neurotypes and gender as a parent, coparent, and partner. I am Gottman level 2 trained, EMDR trained, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) trained, and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) trained. I utilize a variety of approaches, including mindfulness, polyvagal theory, and somatic practices.

In working with me, we will partner together as I help by creating an open and safe environment while supporting you to explore your concerns. I have always felt a strong passion for helping to empower others to reach their highest potential. I have an innate ability to see people separate from the situations they may be experiencing. I am both personally and professionally aware of the ways intersectionality plays a significant role in how unique life may be experienced for each individual.
