About My Clients
I love working with individuals who feel life is currently too overwhelming or scary to navigate alone. Whether due to past trauma or fears of the future, they often cope by avoiding their problems, which only compounds their challenges. My goal is to support clients in facing their fears, breaking the cycle of avoidance, and building the confidence to address life’s difficulties with clarity and resilience. Together, we’ll create lasting change and rediscover your strength.
My Background and Approach
The treatment methods i prefer to use in my therapy are the evidence-based practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I feel that by focusing on how the messages we tell ourselves, the way we think about our problems, and the behavioral responses to our various dilemmas are largely responsible for our difficulties. Learning how to challenge and alter our responses to these problems is key!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I believe many of our challenges stem from within. Often, in response to trauma or complex histories, we unconsciously develop ways of thinking and behaving that once kept us safe but now hold us back. These protective patterns can become barriers to healing. I also believe that disconnection from our spiritual selves can deepen confusion and distress. Reconnecting with that inner sense of purpose and faith can illuminate a path toward clarity, growth, and peace.
