About My Clients
It can take tremendous strength for someone to reach out about their mental health. The things we all experience such as trauma, depression, substance use and so many other things can take it's toll on us in so many ways. You deserve to have someone that will not only listen to you but help you overcome whatever difficulties you are facing.
My Background and Approach
I use an eclectic approach using techniques from CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, psychodrama, play therapy and more. I try to cater to what is going to work for you as best as I can. I have a background in working with children and adolescents as well as substance abuse. My history working with adults continues to expand as well. I have training in Brainspotting and am certified in TF-CBT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the therapeutic relationship established lays a foundation for future growth. It can take time to gain trust and I understand and respect that. I believe that my role through this journey is not to play an expert, but rather join with you on knowing what you need and helping you achieve that. I believe that when everyone is honest it can speed along the process much quicker. I do know it can be hard for others to trust, and I would appreciate the opportunity to work with you and build a working trust that you can count on.
