About My Clients
You may look composed while carrying anxiety, family conflict or painful experiences that still shape how you see yourself. Perhaps you are a teen trying to feel heard, or an adult caught between your own needs and the expectations around you. I work with adolescents and adults who want culturally responsive support, clearer boundaries and a stronger sense of confidence in their choices.
My Background and Approach
My style is direct, supportive and grounded. I will listen carefully, name patterns when I see them and help you turn insight into steps you can use in everyday life. I draw from CBT, family systems, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, Jungian and person-centered approaches, along with solution-focused and supportive therapy. We might examine a family role, challenge a belief that keeps you small, practice a boundary or build ways to manage anxiety when it rises. I bring warmth, accountability and humor to the work, while respecting your pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black and Afro-Caribbean clinician, I understand that family, culture and identity can be sources of strength as well as pressure. I believe therapy should make room for the full context of your life rather than treating you as a list of symptoms. You deserve to feel understood and still be challenged in ways that support growth. If you would like to begin, visit my website to book your first session with me.
