About My Clients

My grief therapy clients are dealing with a loss and use our therapy to make space in their life for grief—to express and process it, build skills to support and tolerate it, and learn from it. I also specifically support people with inherited money who want to live their values and struggle with issues around isolation, belonging, authenticity, or self-worth.

My Background and Approach

I mainly practice psychodynamic, relational, and attachment-based psychotherapies, bringing in other trauma-informed practices depending on my clients' needs. I have worked as an addictions counselor at an LGBTQIA community center, a grief counselor at a hospice, a nature play group therapist with kids, and as a family therapist with parents with young kids. My therapy lens is also shaped by being a parent and by over a decade of deep involvement in racial and economic justice movements.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I came to this work because I believe we need more spaces to grieve--our personal losses, our communal losses, and the state of the world. It is an honor to be with my clients in their grief and to grieve alongside them. Grieving allows us to learn from the past, to learn from our feelings, to be more connected to ourselves and to each other, to face reality, and to move forward from a grounded and connected place.
