I utilize this approach to help my clients learn specific and concrete sets of skills to deal with overwhelming emotions such as fear, panic attacks, anxiety, and uncontrollable worry. We learn together about the strong connection between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions and then practice techniques to help control the negative thoughts that cause so much distress in our life. You'll learn about behavioral activation and how much it helps fight depression. I use CBT in a very practical way!

Relationships matter and make a difference in our lives. Together, we will look at what relationships in your life are causing you the greatest distress and why. We'll process all the pain, heal deep emotional wounds and practice how to set healthy boundaries, be assertive and develop interpersonal skills that will change the way you interact with others. All while focusing in our relationship as well, so it can serve as a trusting and safe vehicle of learning and transformation.

As a bilingual and bicultural woman of color, I have always lived in between two worlds. I combine my personal experience navigating multiple social codes, cultural norms, and languages with my academic and professional knowledge in the field of psychology. My approach is always to be curious about your cultural background and prioritize your values.
