About My Clients
I began my career in mental health 20 years ago, working in group homes with teenage boys with severe trauma and behavioral issues. I then went on to work with individuals and families living with chronic mental illness in community mental health, where I’ve been for the last 14 years. Throughout my career, I have worked with a broad range of people and issues.
My Background and Approach
I utilize an eclectic approach, and have seen the most benefit when balancing active and compassionate listening, support, validation, and empathy with challenging and thoroughly exploring thoughts and behaviors. The goal of this process is to create valuable insights into what is driving us, which can facilitate change. I will provide a neutral, non-judgmental sounding board, so we can explore what is bringing you to therapy. Each session will be based on your specific needs, at that time.
