About My Clients
My clients are diverse and open to learning, practicing, and healing. I work with individual adults and couples who want to optimize their lives. They are in need of empathy and support. I regard my clients with respect and nonjudgmental because everyone will need some help at some point. Many of my clients deal with anxiety, depression, and past adverse experiences that have negatively impacted their lives. I work with them collaboratively to grow self confidence and efficacy.
My Background and Approach
I was born in Vietnam, raised in California, and have called the South home for the past twenty years. My husband is a retired soldier and together, we have lived in a number of states throughout the country, which has enriched our lives. My approach to therapy is nonjudgmental, collaborative, and holistic. I utilize a number of modalities because all people are different and each individual needs their own unique approach. I utilize mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy, lifestyle, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and other strategies; it depends on the client and what resonates with them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a lifelong learned and continue to keep an open mind about the world around me. I utilize mindfulness to come from a place of acceptance toward others and myself. I have been a yoga instructor for 20 years, an avid gym goer, and very novice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner. I am always interested in new activities and hobbies and have volunteered for many organizations throughout my life. I believe our world is big and exciting, but it can also be difficult and cold. I try to grow my community and spread good vibes wherever I can!
