About My Clients
I believe that life is made to be lived to the fullest and am passionate to work with those who are facing obstacles that have made it feel impossible to do so! I specialize in working with teens, young adults, individuals, and couples towards increasing a strong sense of self and utilizing that to strengthen their relationships. Common areas of focus are grief/loss, phase of life transitions, relationship issues, identity development, and relationship with food/body image.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I work from a systemic perspective, understanding that a person is molded and affected by their familial, cultural, and spiritual circles. I utilize attachment and strengths-based approaches to explore behavioral patterns and identify emotional needs. I also use mindfulness techniques to tap into the present moment and gain awareness of how our minds and bodies connect! I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is designed to be a safe, compassionate space to explore the deepest parts of yourself in order to develop into the truest version of who you are created to be. It can feel intimidating and scary but can also be relieving and exciting! My clients are the experts of their life and story, and I am there to aid in their processing of their story to provide positive change and hope! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about me or my approach to therapy.
