About My Clients
My clients are seekers. They are ready to do the work. They will show up prepared, knowing what they discovered between sessions to work on. They do the homework to reinforce new neural pathways for healthy thinking and responding (vs. reacting). The 20s are the hardest decade IMO, and having raised three men on my own, I can support someone at that age finding themselves for the first time, or in their 50s and 60s, discovering their true self again, or maybe for the first time.
My Background and Approach
I am NOT a talk therapist. We set goals, we invite all of your parts to the table, integrating shadow/exiled parts. There will be homework. Practice makes new neural pathways. We drop the victim narrative and return to love and power. Nonattachment is an advanced, life-changing practice, and I can peel back the layers until we get you there. Therapy is a journey. The goal is to turn down the intensity and duration of the effects of trauma(s). I specialize in C-PTSD. I often refer out for neurofeedback as a complement to EMDR and even Ketamine Assisted Therapy Integration. Journaling, positive rituals, good nutrition, and dealing with financial fears in an unstable external world are all areas I help my clients evolve in, with a non-judgmental, positive-regard stance. I am HIGHLY neurodivergent and work well with those who are too or those who are neurotypical. Attachment styles and wounds are important to explore. I am a harm reduction specialist who uses the Sinclair Method.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was raised in a family of Cluster B personalities (think narcissism, amongst others). I am a domestic violence survivor to a thriver. I have traversed female hair loss, aging, multiple divorces, Celiac disease, raising three men, while my children were used as weapons against me. My sons are thriving. I am not a fan of this victim narrative, and it is part of my authentic story. I won the 7th case in TN involving parental alienation. I am probably one of the kindest, strongest, and most authentically excellent at my vocation, the person you will know. I adore being a therapist. I do my own work. Consistently. I am always enthusiastic about learning new modalities. I apply them to myself and then share them with my clients with much success. Memphis is a powerhouse of evolution in the center of a fight for our water. Plus we have the Grizzlies. it is hard here. I've been here 25 years. I know and I can help you.
