About My Clients

Do small conversations quickly turn into defensiveness, hurt feelings, or distance? Are you craving closeness, but unsure how to talk about what hurts without starting another fight? You may feel stuck in the same cycle—arguing, shutting down, making up, and ending up right back where you started. I work with couples and relationship-anxious individuals who want to rebuild trust, communicate differently, and feel secure, close, and connected again.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with experience working with couples, young adults, and relationship-anxious individuals. Many of my clients feel stuck in repeated conflict, emotional distance, overthinking, communication breakdowns, premarital stress, or trust concerns. My goal is to help you understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and practice new ways of relating that feel more secure, honest, and connected. My background is rooted in relational and systemic therapy, which means I pay attention to both individual experiences and the patterns happening between people. I have advanced training in Narrative Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy, and I am a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. Therapy with me is about understanding the cycle and creating something different.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people make sense in context. The ways we protect ourselves, communicate, shut down, pursue, overthink, or avoid conflict often developed for a reason, even if those patterns are no longer helping us feel connected. I do not believe therapy is about blaming one person as “the problem.” I believe healing happens when we can slow down, get curious, and understand what is happening underneath the surface. I value emotional safety, honesty, compassion, accountability, and connection. In my work with couples and individuals, I strive to create an inclusive, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients can say the hard things without shame and begin to understand themselves and each other differently. You do not have to have the perfect words or everything figured out before coming to therapy. You just have to be willing to start.
