About My Clients
Do you feel like the important people in your life don't really know you? On the surface, things may seem to be going well, but deep down you’ve felt anxious and down for a long time. Work, relationships, and responsibilities keep piling up, and you don’t know how to keep going or who to turn to. Each day feels like a battle and you realize that something needs to change. If this sounds like you, I am here to help.
My Background and Approach
Everyone is deserving of a space where they can be vulnerable, learn more about themselves, and feel accepted. My goal is to meet you wherever you are in your journey and to create a safe, warm, and healing environment together. I honor the privilege of hearing your life story. I am a counseling intern in the Master's program at the University of St. Thomas. I am interested in working with teens (16+) and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and meaning making. I care deeply about learning from you what works best for you, and want to be a companion with you on your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In addition to providing psychotherapy, I also value the significance of conducting meaningful and relevant research to help advance the field of counseling psychology. I have a background in researching resilience in minoritized family systems during dual pandemics (COVID-19 and racial injustices), assisting in the development of a novel medical device to assess for mild cognitive impairment in the geriatric Veteran population, and analyzing the positive impact natural mentorship has on the LGBTQIA+ community. I prioritize finding opportunities to uplift the voices and communities that are often left our of research.
