About My Clients
You’re tired of the anxious thoughts that plague you day and night and stop you from living the life you want to live. You feel conflicted about the emotions inside of you and have a hard time figuring out why you’re reacting in ways that don’t feel right to you. You’re tired of your past dictating your present reality and are ready for something to change. Or, your child is having a hard time communicating how they’re feeling so it shows up negatively in their behaviors at home or school.
My Background and Approach
If any of this sounds familiar, I’d love to help. By fostering a safe relationship where clients can be free to be honest and open with themselves, I work to facilitate healing in children and their families through child-centered play therapy and with teens and young adults through a depth-oriented approach. My experience with kids and teens helps me to relate to them in a unique and postive way. I balance giving my clients practical tools with uncovering the root issues that are going on with my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person is doing the best they can with what they have been given. I aim to help clients unlearn shame about their past or current ways of coping. Our brains will do whatever they can to survive which we can thank it for! Unfortunately, that means sometimes we end up with unhelpful ways of coping and going about the world. I believe that our brains are powerful and can change, and I’d love to be apart of the healing process with you!
