As a certified Cognitive Processing Therapy provider, I've worked with individuals experiencing a variety of traumas.
From Generalized Anxiety to more specific anxieties such as Social Anxiety, I can teach you how to gain control back from your thoughts and behaviors.
Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that has been effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD that may develop after experiencing a traumatic event. As a certified provider, I have seen first-hand the benefits of this type of therapy in reducing the most severe PTSD symptoms.
I always strive to provide culturally sensitive therapy in my practice. I have taken a variety of cultural competency trainings and pride myself in my ability to work with those from different backgrounds while still incorporating individual beliefs and values.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people see the difference between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and free them from unhelpful patterns of behavior. This is my favorite modality to treat Anxiety and Depression disorders as once clients can see how their thoughts are distorted and unhelpful, they can begin the process of changing those thoughts and thereby changing their behavior and consequences.
