About My Clients
I primarily work with adults who are struggling to navigate interpersonal & familial relationships, identity development and other general life challenges. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression or self-destructive patterns as a result of unresolved trauma. I also work with women & couples experiencing reproductive difficulties, fertility intervention and postpartum adjustment. I also provide brief therapy for parents seeking support & guidance with their children & teens.
My Background and Approach
My approach involves the recognition that my clients and I have a relationship. I believe that therapy is an opportunity to change our relationships by working inside of one. I foster a deeply caring, collaborative, direct but non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel fully seen and supported. My goal is to make sure that all clients feel heard and understood. I am active in session and provide feedback and challenge cognitive distortions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are conditioned by family, societal and community influences and it can take a lot of work to identify the authentic self and break free from conditioning. Attachment is at the core of how we function in relationships; learning and understanding attachment theory can be transformative. I am progressive, liberal and a strong advocate of the LGBTQ+ community.
