My Background and Approach
I have a strengths-based, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach in helping children and adults cope with anxiety and heal from trauma. I will help you to identify unhealthy patterns that lead to anxiety and stress, learn coping strategies that you can use in your daily life, and practice ways to communicate and set healthy boundaries with others. I will support and empower you to make changes in your relationships and life! As a Brainspotting therapist, I bring neuroscience and mindfulness approaches to the therapy session to assist with your healing. With support, our brains are able to change the unhelpful patterns in our lives that resulted from emotional wounds or trauma. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone inherently has the ability to heal and grow. Having a therapeutic space where you feel accepted unconditionally is crucial to healing. I will meet you where you're at and work together with you to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. I believe that family and childhood experiences shape one's identity and patterns of behavior, and that through a compassionate, supportive relationship with a therapist, you can learn to develop new patterns of behaviors and build a fulfilling life. As an Asian American immigrant, I believe that it is important to talk about the ways that our cultural values and past experiences shape our identity and the choices that we make. I am open to learning about your cultural experiences and values, and I strive to provide therapy that is both culturally sensitive and non-judgmental.
