About My Clients
I work with clients 15 years old and up. I primarily with college students, healthcare professionals, and individuals who are experiencing life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief or trauma. However, this does not mean that I am not open or experienced in working with clients with different challenges. In my experience, when a client has selected me as their therapist, it has been a great fit for the therapeutic relationship.
My Background and Approach
I believe in providing psychoeducation to my clients and working from a strengths perspective. In my experience taking a single approach in therapy is not helpful. I have found that therapy is often unpredictable and differs from person to person. So, this means that I work on getting to know you and pulling from my bank of knowledge and experience to help you achieve your goals in therapy. Sometimes, that means giving you new tools, brushing the dust off old tools, or guiding you in your journey. It also may be none of those things and we will figure it out as we get to know each other and what matters to you. I also believe in some form of structure for therapy, to help us stay on track with achieving your goals. I typically start my sessions with "check ins", get into the "core" of our sessions, and end with discussing self-care. The "core" is quite flexible and based on your needs. I do also want to note that the structure itself can be flexible and modified based on your needs.

I consider myself spiritually open-minded, respecting individuals regardless of their faith, religion, spiritual beliefs, gender, or sexual orientation without judgment.
