About My Clients
Hello! I became a counselor to be able to help others have a safe space to share their mental health journey. I have experience in eating disorder care as well as work with trauma history, depression, and anxiety. I enjoy working with a diverse client base and believe in adjusting clinical theories and practices to each specific need.
My Background and Approach
I am proud to be an active member of the Association for Applied Sports Psychology. As a former athlete playing soccer, tennis, and dancing most of my life, I also enjoy welcoming and relating to individual players and teams in my clinical practice. I feel that my experience in both the corporate world as a former pharmaceutical sales representative and my many years as a teacher in the Scottsdale school systems, give me a unique perspective and ability to build rapport with clients from different interests, backgrounds, and ages.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with our two daughters and my husband of almost 25 years. I find joy in the comradery and time spent with girlfriends and love a good yoga class. Incorporating mindfulness and learning self-care are two important concepts to my therapeutic approach.
