About My Clients
As women we often find ourselves feeling lost or not connected to who we strive to be. We feel voiceless and dismissed as though no one cares to listen to our pain. I want to empower you to embrace your authentic self in the full circle of creation, nurturing, connecting and transforming. As we weave in the principles of mindful living together, I want to help you find the answers that have been inside of you all along as you begin to trust yourself and let go of whatever is holding you back.
My Background and Approach
Cimena has been providing social work and therapeutic services in the Twin Cities area for children, teens, adults and families for the past 18 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge to each case with experience in foster care, adoption, post-partum depression/anxiety, and trauma. Working within the context of attachment and child development domains, childhood trauma and its impact on development and family functioning, Cimena strives to help clients identify their authentic self to live their best lives. A strengths based perspective is used to encourage individuals and families to manage and resolve upsetting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related traumatic life events; and to enhance safety, growth, and communication. Cimena believes in a holistic, integrative approach working with physicians, psychiatrists, body workers, nutritionists, acupuncturists, and homeopathy to provide an optimum level of care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where individuals can feel safe to be who they are. I believe in using our environment to heal, explore and work through feelings, thoughts, images and beliefs. My core philosophy stems from the strengths based perspective encouraging individuals and families to manage and resolve upsetting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related traumatic life events.
