About My Clients
My clients are adults residing in North Carolina who are navigating the aftermath of trauma, including PTSD, abuse, and difficult or overwhelming life experiences that continue to shape how they think, feel, and relate. They often appear capable and successful externally, yet internally feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. They are seeking depth-oriented, evidence-based therapy that is intentional, structured, and focused on meaningful, lasting transformation.
My Background and Approach
My clinical background is rooted in advanced training in clinical psychology with a specialization in trauma and PTSD. I have extensive experience working with adults navigating the lasting impact of trauma, including abuse, chronic stress, and difficult life experiences. My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments, primarily Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), along with CBT and ACT. I offer a premium, intentionally structured model of care that includes 90-minute extended sessions and CPT intensives for clients seeking deeper, more focused work. This format allows us to move beyond surface-level processing into meaningful, sustained change with greater continuity and depth. In session, we identify the patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses that keep you stuck and work collaboratively to shift them in a way that is both supportive and effective. My style is direct yet compassionate, balancing insight with practical tools that translate into real healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At the core of my work is the belief that healing is possible, even after experiences that feel overwhelming or life-altering. I view therapy as a collaborative and deeply human process that requires both safety and honesty to be effective. I am committed to a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes dignity, autonomy, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I believe that symptoms are often adaptive responses to overwhelming circumstances, and that meaningful change happens when we understand those responses with compassion while also creating space for new ways of thinking and relating. I value evidence-based treatment and strive to offer care that is both structured and attuned, supporting clients in moving beyond survival into a more grounded and connected way of living. I am also committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space where clients feel respected regardless of identity or background.
