About My Clients
Do you sometimes feel like stress/anxiety, grief, anger, self-doubt or depression are constantly weighing on you. Do the expectations of others or yourself leave you feeling exhausted. Taking that first step to reach out and ask for help might be one of the bravest things you ever do and I would be honored to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to begin your journey of healing.
My Background and Approach
Prior to starting my private practice, I gained a lot of experience proving counseling services in community mental health agencies, residential facilities, and outpatient counseling settings. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Arizona State University and a Master in Counseling from Arizona State University. I have specialized training in EMDR, DBT, CPT, CBT, Trauma Focused CBT (TFCBT), solution focused, mindfulness and Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand that life can get overwhelming at times and that we all need support. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I understand the culture and expectations that come with it. Whether your faith is your source of strength or you are experiencing some doubt, hurt and might be leaving or have left the church I can provide a safe, understanding non judgemental environment for you to process your feelings in a healthy way. I love working with all clients but I especially enjoy working with women. As women there are so many roles we play and life transitions we go through. I would be honored to walk with you through some of these transitions as you learn more about yourself and meet your goals.
