About My Clients
I have experience providing whole-person, trauma-informed, and gender-affirming care to children, adolescents, and adults with co-occurring medical and psychiatric issues. I work closely with clients to understand their concerns and develop a personalized plan. I use a range of treatment approaches, including brief therapy, behavioral change techniques, mindfulness, nutrition, prescription medication, and supplements to address mental health concerns.
My Background and Approach
My career started with a Bachelor’s in Business from Southwestern University and a Master’s in Art History from Texas Christian University. But my interest in healthcare eventually led me to a “second career” in nursing. I earned my Associate of Applied Science from Reynolds Community College, then a Bachelor and Master of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, and later, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Today, I’m a dual ANCC Board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have a whole--person approach to health, focusing on each person’s unique needs and treatment goals.
