About My Clients
I work with adults in individual psychotherapy, and offer a warm, supportive space where you can speak openly and feel heard. I take a whole-person approach, considering how biological, psychological, and social factors all influence who we are and how we cope with life’s challenges. I bring a broad range of professional and life experience into my work, which allows me to approach therapy with steadiness and perspective.
My Background and Approach
Before and throughout my work in mental health, I’ve supported people through a wide range of life experiences and challenges. That background has shaped a calm, steady approach to therapy and allows me to sit comfortably with difficult emotions, complex situations, and topics that can feel hard to name. In our work together, we focus primarily on the present — how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are showing up in your day-to-day life right now. While past experiences are important and may be explored, we focus on them mainly when they help us better understand what you’re dealing with today. My goal is to help you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop a clearer understanding of yourself so you can move through life with more confidence and balance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a veteran prior to working in mental health. I have worked and volunteered for suicide hotlines in the past, as well as many community organizations before starting a private practice. I believe that mental healthcare is just healthcare, and something that people should be able to have access to.
