About My Clients
If you’re feeling stuck in survival mode, overwhelmed by the past, or disconnected from yourself or others, you’re not alone. I offer a down-to-earth approach to help you build practical coping skills, work through tough experiences at your own pace, and feel more grounded and in control. Many people start to feel some relief within the first month.
My Background and Approach
My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and tailored to each client. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, family systems, person-centered, and strength-based frameworks. I also use Brainspotting and CPT to help clients process traumatic experiences and reduce anxiety in a structured, supportive way. Sessions are paced thoughtfully—especially for teens and those who may feel hesitant about starting therapy—to create a sense of safety, trust, and steady progress. Many of the adults and teens I work with feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, fear, or emotional reactivity that don’t improve with willpower alone. Trauma can impact sleep, concentration, relationships, and a sense of safety—often long after the original experiences have passed. Therapy with me focuses on helping your nervous system feel safer, more regulated, and better able to respond to daily stressors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Mom of two small children. I love family, nature, travel and good food. I've been blessed to have traveled with my partner to 20 countries around the world and am humbled by the places I've been and the incredible people I've met. I started working in a psychiatry office and fell in love with mental health and the journey to better one's well-being. I went back to school to get my Master's Degree in Social Work and the rest is history.
