Many of my clients suffer from depression that is often the result of feeling stunted or stuck in their career, relational or personal growth and happiness. I have treated a diverse range of adults and adolescents suffering from depression on varying levels. I understand the importance of properly diagnosing and treating depression when necessary with psychotropics medications, but I also educate clients on mind-body approaches that may naturally ease lighter levels of depression.

Many of my clients suffer from varying degrees of anxiety--from existential listlessness to social anxiety to severe phobias. I have treated adults and adolescents suffering from anxiety and I understand the importance of properly diagnosing and treating anxiety when necessary with psychotropic medication, but I also educate clients on mind-body approaches that may naturally decrease anxiety and panic.

Many clients seek treatment with me because they are experiencing difficult and painful life transitions such as; a major move, loss of a loved one, loss of a job or loss of a sense of purpose or meaning in life. I have experience treating adults and adolescents who are adjusting to varying transitions and new responsibilities of adulthood, parenting, aging, and caring for others.

I teach Mindful Self-Compassion, meditation and mindfulness practices to clients who are interested in exploring these areas. I do not practice from any particular cultural or religious standpoint, but rather from a place of realizing the power of staying in the present moment.

I received my post-grad training at a Psychoanalytic training institute that focused on attachment theory, object relations and other depth psychology constructs. I believe our childhood attachment styles and relational patterns affect our present psyches and I work with clients to explore areas of their conscious and unconscious experiences through memories, dreams, and reflections.
