About My Clients

Do you need support with school or work stress or relationship problems? Is it hard to stay motivated or even know which direction you are going? Specializing in work with adolescents and young adults, I have specific expertise with addictions, anxiety, depression and grief across all age ranges. My background in music therapy and experience working with complex mental health issues provides for a multi-dimensional approach. Let’s discuss where you are going.

My Background and Approach

My style is warm and authentic..I work to support people in their struggles, at the same time encouraging growth. Otter is my therapy dog! He still makes appearances during telehealth! Specializing in work with adolescents and young adults, I also have specific experience with addictions, anxiety, depression and grief across all age ranges. You are welcome to ease into therapy with non-confrontative modalities of music, art, writing, or relax with Otter, a therapy dog in training. We can discuss treatment options in our first meeting. Today we are faced with a fast-paced world, full of questions and unknowns. In therapy, we will slow things down and see what you are really looking for. I utilize narrative approaches to understand your story. If your story or your child's story involves loneliness, stress, grief, anxiety, addictions or life adjustment issues, then counseling could help. My goals are your goals, your personal growth, and how to make therapy meaningful. Let's chat.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that all persons are capable of living through their best self by discovering their personal narrative that incorporates the meaning and purpose for their lives. I know that every person has a purpose, and every animal too! I have worked with my own grief, anxiety, and depression. Through finding alternatives to living IN the problems, I was able to find ways to live WITH my struggles, not suffering because of them. I LOVE to travel, find new places that teach me about history and about myself, and meet new people. I enjoy reading about history and finding time to be in nature or on the water in a canoe or kayak. My favorite place in Salem is the dog park of course!
