About My Clients
You're struggling in areas of your life that are important to you. You're not showing up the way you want to show up. It could be due to military service or other challenging life events. Regardless, these are solvable problems. Together we can help you clarify what's important to you, and what isn't. Then we can set goals to help you move toward a life in accordance with your values. Whether its life transitions, trauma, or you're not quite sure, I look forward to helping you reclaim your life.
My Background and Approach
My practice philosophy can be summed up as helping my clients become comfortable with being uncomfortable. To that end, I practice from both a mindfulness and behavioral perspective. My goal is to help people move toward a rich life that is in alignment with their stated values. We almost always start with exercises around values clarification. I want you to understand what is important to you and what isn't. Once we know what matters to you, we can focus on the changes necessary to show up the way you want to show up in those areas of your life. This may require processing trauma using EMDR, cultivating a mindfulness practice, and creating new habits in your life. I also spend time discussing and working with the mind/body connection to help relieve anxiety. This in turn leads to clearer thinking and better decision-making skills. Over time you'll increase your resilience, and be more able to remain calm in difficult situations.
