I help individuals address substance use disorders such as alcohol or drug use and also process addictions such as gambling or sexual compulsivity. I use Motivational Interviewing and other evidence-based practices to first establish rapport and work collaboratively to identify your goals.

I use Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) for PTSD. PE is a step-by-step evidence-based treatment that uses both imaginal and in vivo exposure in a safe, gradual, and supportive manner to reduce or eliminate adverse symptoms of your traumatic experience(s).

Anxiety takes many forms, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic, phobias, or excessive general worry and fear. Once we identify the unique ways you experience anxiety, we will collaboratively develop a personalized plan to support your goals. For OCD, I specifically use Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) to help you gradually and safely regain a sense of control over your thoughts, behaviors, and experience.

I have 20+ years of experience with both adolescents and adults struggling with OCD. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a structured approach for gradually facing feared situations or thoughts while resisting compulsive responses. Together we will create a hierarchy of triggers which is your roadmap so we can work through them step-by-step in a gradual, safe manner.

I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). After creating a safe space to understand and assess the unique ways you have been impacted by one or more traumas, we will work together to develop an effective and supportive plan to reduce and eliminate the symptoms of avoidance, intrusion, and disturbance associated with this diagnosis.

I have extensive experience with both individuals and groups using a specialized practice known as Motivational Interviewing. The four key processes of this approach are building trust, focusing, eliciting internal motivation, and planning. Together we will work through these processes in the context of a supportive therapeutic relationship in order to help you reduce or eliminate the problems associated with addiction.

I have 20+ years helping individuals overcome experiences of trauma including sexual assault or other forms of abuse and harm. I have specialized training and primarily use Prolonged Exposure Therapy over a course of 10-12 weeks of treatment to help individuals safely heal with an incremental and supportive plan.
