About My Clients
I offer compassionate, personalized support for those navigating through life's challenges. I help clients learn to regulate their emotions, manage their time, recover from burnout, and regain control over their lives. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and culturally responsive. I have experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, neurodiverse adults, and their families.
My Background and Approach
I’m a therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. My clinical experience includes working with veterans, neurodivergent adults, and individuals from underserved communities. As a Marine Corps veteran, I understand the unique stressors faced by military personnel and their families. During my internship at the Emory Autism Center, I deepened my work with ADHD and autism, which continues to shape my neurodiversity-affirming approach. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but take an integrative approach tailored to each client’s needs, preferences, and stage of life. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and trauma. Together, we’ll address challenges like executive functioning, emotional regulation, and stress while building a strengths-based treatment plan that promotes growth, resilience, and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be collaborative, affirming, and rooted in each person’s lived experience. There’s no one-size-fits-all path to healing, especially for neurodivergent folks and those navigating systemic barriers. I grew up in poverty, lived in government housing, and served in the Marine Corps. I also parent a child with autism. These experiences shape my deep respect for resilience and drive to help others create lasting change. I don’t see clients as problems to fix, but as people with wisdom and strength. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that healing looks different for everyone. My goal is to meet you with warmth, flexibility, and respect—wherever you are.
