About My Clients
My clients are adults navigating stress, anger, emotional regulation, life transitions, or legal requirements. Some seek therapy by choice, others through court or external mandates. Regardless of how they arrive, they want clarity, practical tools, and to be treated with respect. My clients value support that’s grounded, nonjudgmental, and focused on real-world change.
My Background and Approach
My background includes working in inpatient hospitals, emergency departments, private practice, and correctional settings. These experiences have reinforced my belief that mental health challenges — whether related to severe conditions, anger, or everyday stress — affect people from all walks of life. My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded. I believe people already have strengths and coping skills, and therapy can help bring clarity, structure, and support to strengthen those abilities. I work with clients to better understand emotions, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier responses to stress and conflict. A core area of my work includes anger management, where I help individuals recognize patterns, build accountability, and apply skills that support real-life change. I also provide court-related assessments, approaching this work with professionalism, clarity, and fairness. Whether someone is seeking therapy voluntarily or meeting an exter
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health care should be respectful, accessible, and responsive to the diverse experiences people bring into therapy. Each person exists within multiple systems — culture, family, identity, community, and society — and these systems influence how we experience stress, emotion, and growth. I am committed to inclusivity, diversity, and equity in my work. This means recognizing the impact of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, ability, and lived experience, while avoiding assumptions and honoring each person’s individuality. I believe accountability and compassion can coexist. Growth does not require judgment, and meaningful change is possible when individuals are met with clarity, honesty, and dignity. This belief guides my work in therapy, anger management, and court-related services alike.
